Cinderella
Once upon a time, there lived an
unhappy girl. She had no parents. Her mother was dead and her father married to
a widow with two daughters. Her mother did not like her one little bit. All her
kind thoughts and loving touches were for her own daughters. Nothing was too
good for them-beautiful dresses, beautiful shoes, delicious food, and home
comfort. But for the poor unhappy girl, nothing at all. No beautiful dresses,
only old rages. No delicious food, only scraps. No rest and no comfort. She had
to work all day long. But only in the evening, she allowed to sit for a while
near the fire, near the cinders.
One day, beautiful new dresses
arrived at the house. There was a ball to be held at the palace and the two
stepsisters were getting ready to go. Cinderella knew that her wish never come
true. She knew what the answer would be if she ask: “ you? You’re staying at
home and wash the dishes, scrub the floors and prepare the bed for your
stepsisters.”, “ oh my God, im so unhappy!”. Said Cinderella.
Suddenly, something amazing
happened. While she was sitting alone, there was a burst of light and a fairy
appeared. “ don’t be alarmed, Cinderella”, said the fairy. “ i know you would
love to go to the ball. And so you shall!” said the fairy. “ me? To the ball?
How can I? In this old rage? I don’t even have beautiful shoes”, said
Cinderella. The fairy smiled. With a flick of her magic wand, Cinderella found
herself wearing the most beautiful dress.” Wow! What a beautiful dress!” said
Cinderella. “ hmmm, now for your coach, let me think. A real lady would not
walk to the ball. Quick get me a pumpkin and 7 mice!”, “ oh, of course I will!”
Cinderella returned with one big
pupmkin and seven mice. With a flick of her magic wand, the pumpkin turned into
the sparkling coach. And the mice turned into 6 white horses and a coachman
with a smart uniform and carried a whip. “now, you should go to the ball. But
remember, you must be back by midnight. That’s when my spell ends. Do you
understand, Cinderella?”, “ yes, of course I remember”
And Cinderella went to the ball. She
had a wonderful time until she heard the first stroke of midnight. “Ding-Dong”.
Without a word of good bye, she slipped from the prince’s arms and run down the
steps. As she ran, she lost one of her slippers. But not for the moment she
thought of stopping and picking it up. If the last stroke of midnight were
sound, oh.. oh.. that would be a disaster. Out she fled and vanished into the
night.
The prince whose now in love with
Cinderella, took the slipper and told the minister to search the lady whose
feet fitted with the shoe. So, the minister tried the slipper on the foot of
every girl in the land until only Cinderella was left. And the shoe fitted
perfectly to Cinderella’s feet. So, Cinderella married the prince and lived
happily ever after.
